As countries reopen, Solar market recovery begins
As the Covid-19 pandemic gradually eases, countries around the world have slowly begun to relax lockdown measures. Some countries have also launched varying types of economic stimulus to support the solar sector. In contrast to others, the Chinese market is stable, as the country has had some success in controlling the virus.
With demand turning out better than anticipated in the second quarter and the spread of Covid-19 slowing in some overseas markets, PV Info has raised its forecast for annual global module demand to 121.1 GW. While Chinese demand is projected at 43 GW for now, this may come in even higher if utility-scale projects begin construction smoothly in the third quarter.
The whole world was persecuted by the Covid-19 in an instant, and the economy of many industries was instantly threatened, but with the joint efforts of everyone, most industries are now slowly recovering their economies. Since China was the first to be persecuted by the Covid-19, effective control measures have been adopted, and now almost all of them have resumed work. Landpower Solar resumed work in February 2020, and is still working hard for the photovoltaic business, striving to provide simple and cost-effective installation solutions for each of our customers. By the end of July, many customers have slowly returned to work. I believe that the photovoltaic industry will be able to return to its peak.
