02 / Incentives, as of October 15, 2026
The federal credit ended. Connecticut's programs did not.
The 30% federal credit for homeowner-owned systems ended with 2025. Plenty of solar websites still show it. We leave it out of your numbers and work with what is real:
- R-RES Buy-All: your utility buys every kWh your system produces at $0.3289 per kWh, fixed for 20 years (2026 Eversource and UI rate).
- Energy Storage Solutions: $30 per kWh of battery capacity upfront, plus yearly payments from $300 per kW for letting the utility call on your battery at peak times.
- Other New England states: each has its own programs. Your review lists the ones that apply at your address.

Can I still get the 30% federal tax credit?
Not for a system you own that is installed in 2026. The federal residential clean energy credit (Section 25D) ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025. We do not count it in your numbers. State and utility programs still apply, and in Connecticut they are significant. See incentives.
How much does home solar cost?
A typical 8 to 12 kW home system runs $25,000 to $40,000 before incentives. Your roof, shade, equipment and usage move that number, so your written review gives you a price for your home before anyone asks you to sign.
How long from signed contract to a working system?
47 days on average. About 7 to 10 days for the site visit and design, 20 to 30 days for permits and the utility application, one day on the roof for most systems, and 5 to 15 days for the utility's permission to operate.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every install is done by our own crews, employees on our payroll. The crew lead who walks your roof at the site visit is the crew lead who installs your system.
Which states do you serve?
All six New England states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. License numbers are on every quote and contract.
How do I pay for it?
Pay cash, or we help you finance it through our financing partners or a lender you choose. Either way you own the system. We do not offer leases or power purchase agreements. Getting a quote never needs a credit check. See financing.
